Fresh Solutions is a full service provider of fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants and is part of the Greenyard Group. At our location in Waddinxveen there are 3 business units. These are Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V. (Fruit & Veg), Fresh Solutions Flowers B.V. (Flowers & Plants) and Greenyard Supply Chain Services (Transport).
Together with our Fresh Solutions branches in Germany, we supply one of Germany's largest retailers with above mentioned products.

Process Improvement Manager
Your role & work environment
As a Process Improvement Manager, you have a unique position within our company; in this independent role you closely collaborate with a lot of different colleagues and departments. You will work intensively together with the DC Manager on one hand and the Operational Manager on the other hand. Next to that, you will collaborate closely with the team leads in the warehouse and with a.o. Controlling, Sales and Sourcing. Fresh Solutions consists of no less than 4 DC’s, which besides the one situated in Waddinxveen are all located in Germany. You are part of the decision-making of which (seasonal) activities must be done in which DC. Altogether, a job where you can inspire and can be inspired. Our work with fresh products will provide you with interesting but also challenging issues.
Important activities include:
- Monitor existing process flows from A to Z and implement changes that leads to optimization.
- Executive projects that focus on Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement
- Further develop the current Performance Dashboards.
- Create business cases to justify investments, i.e., in new machines.
- Develop and monitor standard tariffs for production, in collaboration with colleagues.
- Compare forecasts to actuals.
- Start projects for the kick-off for new seasonal products, to ensure smooth processes.
- Train, motivate and support operational employees.
You will report to the DC Manager, however in specific cases there will be opportunities to report to the Management Team directly.

Important characteristics/competencies are:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Operations / Logistics / Production / Supply chain.
- Preferably relevant working experience within Fruit & Veg.
- Business-oriented / communicative / analytical.
- Mentality of continuous improvement.
- Feels comfortable in an independent role.
- Connects easily with people and collaborates well with different colleagues from different departments.
- Expert in Excel, experience with BI tools is a plus.
- Working proficiency in English and Dutch, German is a plus.
