To ensure a year-round supply of tomatoes, we grow our tomatoes in the renowned greenhouses of the Netherlands and Spain.
Occasionally, our product manager Norman van Domburg and retail expert Ferry Aarse visit Spain to connect with the team in Spain and, of course, visit the growers to exchange knowledge.
Last week, we were at Cualin Quality, our partner who supplies tomatoes year-round. At Cualin Quality, they have approximately 40 hectares of high-tech greenhouses, mostly made of glass. Their technical and automation systems enable them to sustainably produce the highest quality tomatoes throughout the year. And that is exactly how we like it at Valstar!
Traditionally our Dutch tomato season is from April to October. And our Spanish season runs from November to April.
