Trade Account Manager Soft Fruits

About the vacancy

As a Trade Account Manager, you develop and execute the Sales Trade strategy in cooperation with internal stakeholders. In addition, you are responsible to manage the day to day sales to the Trade/Wholesale channel with the goal of achieving the best possible price based on the quality and quantity of our fruit. You ensure a seamless coordination of sales activities between the locations of production and the Driscoll’s Trade/Wholesale customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a good and efficient working relationship with all important stake holders and ensures alignment within the Driscoll’s DEMEA organization. You work closely with for instance the commercial departments, sales department and planning & allocation.
  • Promotes Operation Excellence and Continuous Improvement of policies and processes within the Sales organization and ensures alignment and correct execution of the DEMEA policies to support the final execution of DEMEA’s 5-year plan.
  • Develops and executes, in close cooperation with the Sales Regional Manager and the Sales Director, the Sales Trade strategy. In addition, you implement the sales trade strategy within the area of responsibility based on the market demands, supply allocation and production possibilities.
  • Creates valuable partnerships with the DEMEA Trade customers in order to execute the Sales Trade strategy and yearly sales budget.
  • In close cooperation with departments Sales, Planning & Allocation, Production and Forecasting, you are responsible for the allocation of available volume of fruit across our EMEA Trade customer base and ensure a good execution of our price strategy which enables good grower economics.
  • Ensures excellent execution on the agreed payment conditions with our Trade customers and initiates follow up on credit amounts & credit procedures.
  • Ensure a correct execution of the agreed prices and volumes within our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics) or other systems which are needed.

Candidate profile

You are an ideal candidate for us if you have:

Work experience and education:
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in the perishable goods industry in a similar position.
  • International trading experience is a must for this position, especially in Germany!
  • Trade experience in a similar field: Fruit & Vegetable or Ultra fresh category is a huge advantage.
  • Bachelor (HBO) level
Languages & Competencies:
  • Excellent English and German language skills, both verbal and writing
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Strong business sense and entrepreneurial qualities
  • Team player and capable to manage and lead under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of budgeting and economical influences
  • Proven track record in building long-term relationships
