A Special Trip Combining Business and Celebration
Last week, I traveled to Costa Rica for a unique trip that combined business with a personal celebration. Maribel Barquero, the director of Rica Fruta S.A. and someone I have worked with for over 25 years, got married. I was honored to be asked to give her away at the ceremony, which was an unforgettable experience. The wedding was a spectacular event filled with joy and happiness. It was a celebration that beautifully reflected the culture and warmth of Costa Rica, the country where the jungle meets the ocean!
Alongside the wedding, I took the opportunity to visit our trusted partners in Costa Rica. Despite a difficult start to the season caused by challenging weather conditions in November and December, preparations for the melon harvest are now well underway. The first shipments are scheduled for the upcoming week, and the last shipments for week 16.
This trip was a reminder of the value of long-term relationships, both professional and personal, and the importance of celebrating milestones together. Moments like these truly highlight the meaning of partnership and trust. We are ready for the new Costa Rican season!
